Can you get weird at the snap of a finger?

Embrace your inner lunatic?

Let loose and become the craziest silliest most insane version of yourself?

This could be a goofy dance. Or I’ll start speaking in gibberish. Or make strange voices. Or chant in strange made up languages.

Here’s an example:

It helps me to tap into my inner child at a moments notice. To find my goofball of a self and let him loose.

It helps me with creativity. Helps me to get out of a negative mindset. Take myself less seriously and laugh to intentionally put myself in a positive mindset.

I strive to be STRANGE. To be different. To cultivate my inner child and use it to fuel my true individual personality that is like no one else.

I strive to be in touch with all of the strange parts of myself. To give my mind the freedom to discover all of the untapped potential that lies within it.

To build pathways in my brain that allow me to tap into my weirdness at a moments notice. To befriend it. To learn how to use it to my advantage.

Walk outside and laugh like a madman for ten minutes and when you walk inside your problems won’t seem to overwhelming anymore.

The most important relationship we have in life is the relationship we have with ourselves. Your ability to have fun with yourself is a direct representation of your relationship with yourself.

When I tell people about this exercise, they will say things like “I used to do this when I was a child”. And that’s because you probably DID!

“Picasso once said ‘all children are born artists.’ The problem is to remain an artist as we grow up. We don’t grow into creativity, we grow out of it.” – Sir Ken Robinson

Most of us have lost this side of ourselves. Over time we became serious about our jobs and our future, convinced that we need to be “mature”.

As we matured, we suppressed the inner child in us who wanted to shit your pants, scream at the top of your lungs, rip off our clothes, and dance in the streets naked.

This is a muscle that you will need to train. A part of yourself you will have to rediscover. For some, build for the first time.

You may have never discovered this part of yourself as a child. You might have to construct it for the first time. To practice being insane. To cultivate a ball of goof within that wants to wear a speedo, put on a clown hat, and sing songs on an instrument you don’t know how to play!

Sound insane? That’s because it is 😃 Cultivate insanity to become a happier person in your day to day life. Practice getting weird at the snap of a finger so that you can befriend your inner child, become more creative, and live a happier life 😃
