Hi there!

My name is Troy Erstling – your everyday sit at home philosopher pondering the questions of the universe and running experiments to become the happiest version of myself I can be.

But this website isn’t about me (despite my name being the domain 😛 ), if you want to learn more about who I am and my personal journey, you can read that here.

I built this website as a place to document my personal philosophy on how to live a happy life. My thoughts, experiments, and exercises aimed at helping you build a life full of genuine smiles, laughter, gratitude, and appreciation.

You see, whether we are rich or poor, educated or uneducated, whatever our nationality, color, social status or ideology may be, I believe that the purpose of our lives is to be happy.

This website deals with two questions – How can I increase the amount of genuine happiness in my life, and when the inevitable stresses of life DO arise, how can I properly deal with them?

I believe that happiness is a practice. A skill to be cultivated. Something to be trained on a day to day basis.

You BECOME happy. You BECOME sad. Over time. Through repetition of habits, thoughts, and routine. Through consistent practice.

It won’t change in a day or even a week. It will take time. All seeds need sufficient water and sunlight to properly grow, and if you want your happiness to grow from within, these articles will help you to implement the habits you need to build a happy life.
